Agent/Witness: Frost
Base: Mantua, Ohio
Date/Time: July 5, 2003/0100 hours
Incident: Last night at 1:00 a.m. we went into a field surrounded by woods. The field slants upwards to a hill. Although the field was cut, there was an area of tall weeds at the peak of the hill. While walking on the outskirts of the field, I directed my light in the direction of the weeds, about 50 yards or so away, and saw a a pair of eyes reflecting back. I also could make out a head, shoulders and arms. Then the figure crouched down and walked toward the woods, staying low. Upon further investigation, we found nothing there except footprints. Then in the opposite direction I saw another pair of eyes, and when I flashed my light on them they ducked out of view. We went to investigate, watching on all sides. Again, nothing. We saw a path in the weeds leading further into the woods. We went a little ways in and heard a jingling noise, like that made by a set of keys. At this time, we decided to make our way back into the main field and return to the neighborhood. Other than that, there have been no further confrontations.
