This is a question I have pondered many years and still do not know the definitive answer. I have had some friends that say they were born that way. Others that said it just happened and they continued hat path. A few that tried it and gave it up.

The weirdest explanation I keep hearing is that it is easier than heterosexuality. With men or women they already have their foot in the door so to speak with the same sex. They feel comfortable around them and have many things in common. It is harder for some with the opposite sex because as we all know someone new can be nerve racking to talk to without fumbling some and feeling very uncomfortable.

I just myself do not think it is simply nature or a choice for all. I think for some it is choice and some it is something they are born to be. So neither one alone. Depends on the person.

As to men kissing verses women kissing it is simply that when women do it then it's hot but when men do it then it is not. Seriously it has a lot to do with how society views the differences. Like male and female teachers having sex with students. We base it different to how we veiw the fact as the general populas.

I neither approve nor disapprove with gays. They exist and are there. To approve or dispprove of it would mean that I feel the need to pass judgement on it. I couldn't give two shits what someone's orientation is. It's not my life to approve or disapprove of. I've got enough shit going on in my own life to worry about to be overly concerned about what Jimmy and Danny are doing next door. They'll mow my lawn if the grass gets too long like a nice neighbour would and that's all you can ask of anyone.

No, he's right. The french suck. Especially the Quebec french. I have two glaring proofs to why they suck.

1 - Last time there was a referendum we fund raised to catch a bus to Quebec where we painted our faces half Canadian Flag half Quebec to let Quebecois know that we want them to stay. We marched in front of the legislative and chanted and sang in french. We all signed a support document to be read in the legislative with our addresses and everything on it. Two months later, we all got $200 vagrancy fines....and so DF was born because it was my idea to photograph everyone with their fine papers flipping the bird and we mailed them all back with no payments with the photo.

2 - In 1995 I went to Ottawa for a National Shooting Competition. Two days before we purposefully got lost and ended up eating lunch in Hull (that's in Quebec). The staff were all extremely rude, refused to speak to my team mates in english and forced them to point out what they wanted on a french menu laughing and making asshole comments the whole time. Their faces went white when I ordered my meal in french and then ordered everyone elses meals because they'd chosen stuff they wouldn't have liked and then had to have a shouting match with the Manager about his crew of asshole staff.

Everytime I run into a french person and do them the curtesy of speaking in french so that they can get what they need....I get the narrowed eyes. As if I'm unworthy of the french language.

The ONLY french people I've ever actually met that didn't act like assholes to me when I spoke french to help them out was a group of 50 Hells Angels. They bought me three bottles of nice wine and treated me to supper. Funny how the "dregs" of french society act politely.

My favourite teacher at my old school was french, she moved to england because the french suck, and because despite all it's problems, england still a better place than france. And then the french exchange student who my sister had over, he agreed that the french suck. Espicially the parisians.

My familly is from Ontario and mostly English. But me, i was raised french right here in Quebec. We are not all asholes, and alote of uss speak english and are verry polite. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but that does not give you the right to generalise about us. I'm getting tiered of the french and english bitching each other. Can't we just get along and accept our differences?

And since when have the descisions made by our politicians been a reflexion of the populations interests opinions and needs? A good deal of the population doesn't even vote... Anyway...I had to say something.

As an Englishman, whenever some onementions a foreigner, I instantly think of their sterotype, and I accept that I am inerantly biased (however, my definition of forigner is anyone from outside of norfolk).

Mocking the french is a national sport in england, and I hold, that there are many nice french persons, the french people are jerks.
