I saw the movie and haven't been able to find myself a copy ofv the novel yet. The movie was good though, so hopefully the novel is better (as it is in most cases).
I meant more as in the Shapeshifting-huge-sons-a-bitches kinds of werewolves. _________________ --Duty First--Who Dares Wins--Strike Swiftly--

As far as movies go did anyone see the movie War Wolves on Sci Fi Channel (or SyFy as it appears to now be called)...
It had the Alignment of each individual werewolf entirely dependent on that person. They weren't automatically evil, they could be good or evil...
Or if anyone reads the Forgotten Realms books they have a 7 book series called Sembia:Gateway to the Realms. In it from book 4 on they have a good werewolf that uses his disease to his advantage in battle against evil... |

Why is it they always put the werewolves extinct and vampires in huge number compared to them.
I think wolves are beter then vampires so why do moive makers and other people put them as weak, ugly and wild creatures compared to beatuiful, elegant, nolbe vampires, i hate sexy vampires i prefer them to be ugly monsters killing all things.
Werewolves are alot better then vampires in my opinion what do you guys and gals think |
well I think that the number of werewolves VS the number in vampires and also the strength of werewolves VS the strength of vampires... all evens out in the end.
There are some films that say a werewolf can kill a vampire. The new age Van Helsing, and all of the Underworld movies are some of those films. There are even more films as well as books that depict a werewolf to be of brutal strength and to run in packs. I've never heard of a werewolf being weak and I've not heard of a vampire being stronger than a werewolf either. There are also films that do show that the werewolves are just as large in number as the vampire. Again Underworld is one of them (especially in Rise of the Lycans) and I believe Van Helsing was too, then there is Skin Walkers... and of course twilight lol but that's just to name a few.
But I can tell you why I believe people to favor the vamp over the werewolf. A vampire (as depicted in books and movies) has everything a human being wishes to have. Beauty, forever youthful, immune to illnesses, able to defend itself against even the strong and powerful, does not have to abide by any rule or law, can move about the world as they please and start a new life, has years of knowledge... the list goes on.
When people think of werewolves they are only thinking of their grotesque form. However, in human form they are able to be just as beautiful as anyone or anything else. In every way I say a werewolf is at least equal to a vampire and I believe that to have been distinguished by now through books and movies recently. _________________ "Would you ever say to me Clarice, stop? Not to go too much off on a tanget, but you mention Skin Walkers, was that flick any good? I never saw it and i'm looking for a good werewolf flick and it seemed cool in the trailers

Yeah, it came from Spooks, a comic by Devil's Due about a supernatural fighting G.I. Joe kind of team. It was a little disappointing the way it ends ESPECIALLY, but it's worth a read if you're interested http://www.spooksthecomic.com/main.htm
Kind of an FVZA, but more covert and the threats are more variable, although they also had a zombie vaccine which was cool _________________ Need a job done, contact Agency X, jobs done, no questions asked, ask for Sandi

I saw a bit of skinwalkers, it was fine, not spectacular but fine. I think werewoves are so cool, and are equal to vamps. _________________

well task... skin walkers didn't make my top fav werewolf movie... but then again, neither did Blood and Chocolate. Of course, blood and chocolate was mainly a love story between two people finding a way to be together tho it was forbidden.
Skin Walkers did have some pretty awesome parts tho. _________________ "Would you ever say to me Clarice, stop? If you love me you'd stop?"

I actually read the book Blood and Chocolate. I also saw some bits of the movie. The movie is way different from the book though. _________________

| Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville series of books has a different take on werewolves. In it, the werewolves act like real wolves, as far as pack behavior goes. They don't eat people, and are generally as law abiding as regular humans. I highly recommend the series as an example of 'good' werewolves. |
