Went and saw Couples Retreat last night. I thought it was pretty damn funny.

I thought the same, and Malin Akerman from Watchmen was damn fine as a red head. Kristin Bell was equally as hot too. Though, Vince Vaugn needs to find new roles. His are gettin to be the same a bit.

Just saw Vampire's Assistant and all in all I rate it as okay. True it was very comical. True the story was very creative and imaginative. But I think I’d enjoy the books a lot more. Oh, and John C Reilly played an awesome vampire. Never thought I’d say that. In fact, because they had this goofball as a main vampire character, I thought the movie would be cheesy but I have to give ol boy props. He did very well as a vampire.

Even more recently, I've seen the movie Paranormal Activity.

Mad IT SUCKED!!

Sad

The entire movie was on a couple asleep in their bed through out each night with a camcorder on, because they were HOPING to catch a ghost on tape. HOPING. Odd things happened once in a while. But nothing serious. Until 1 to 5 minutes before the ending of the film. Then it became juicy but it didn't last. About 2 minutes of creepiness then the credits fall. The End.
People. Don't waist your time.
Unless of course you like watching people sleep, then wake up only to follow each other around the house with a camera as though they are doing a Blair Witch meets Real World but way less action, way less drama, and absolutely no humor.

I just saw PArAnorMaL ACtiViTY as well. It was even worse than the Blair Witch Project. The horror-gags were mostly creaking doors, lights turned on, and the ever-classic "ooOOOooOoooo". Seriously.

I watched the whole damn thing and it was one of the most boring movies I've ever seen. The ending was just predictable, stupid, and the entire film made ME want to kill the couple it was about. I could show it to a toddler and he wouldn't even be interested. It tries to build tension and then just bottoms out.

Probably the cheapest movie I've ever seen in terms of budget. This looks like a movie that was given a high budget, which was then skimped, cut, and cheated on so many times it put a fat stack in the producers pocket and called it a day. Old people wouldn't even find this scary.

2.5/10

I at least liked it better than all the other movies Hollywood puts out every year that are supposed to be scary. For a movie that had a budget of $15,000 and a director with no film experience, and filmed the whole thing in just his house, I think it did pretty well.

I love this movie for two reasons.

1) Better then half the bullshit hollywood puts out.

2) It beat Saw VI in the theaters.

Again I ask, how many more of these stupid stupid stupid saw movies are they going to make? For the love of God, stop. Just stop, please. Stop.

Oh, and I would still rather watch Paranormal Activity over Twilight.

EDIT DUE TO WRONG QUOTE

Quote:

Yeah cause everyone's expectations were so high for the ghost film and everyone is now sick of Saw. But I bet all those people that bought tickets to Paranormal were just as disappointed as I.

Laughing they should have stopped after saw 3. Really, I mean the guy that started it all is dead and we totally get that others took on his legacy, we don't need more movies about it to paint us a picture. We get it.

Not a fan of the twilight series I'm sure I've made that clear before. I hated the way the main two characters were portrayed on film in the first movie (I read and watch simply because I crave supernatural things). Bella and Edward are so awkward and well... emo. Did they even have any complete sentences in the movie? Half the time they stumbled over their words

I can't believe I just now saw Zombieland, twice!!! It was such a roller-coaster (heheh) that the hour-and-a-half flew by. I mean, a zombie movie with Bill Murray? Sweet!
The choreography during the action-sequences was so well timed, if kinda predictable. This is one of my favorite movies! I must admit that there were some twists I guess I should have seen coming, and others that totally went another way than I had expected, such as the ending.

I guess this means there's gonna be Zombieland 2? What'll they call it, Zombienation?

I just went and watched Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day and I liked it. It was pretty good. It was a bit campy at times, what with the slightly annoying and new member of the group, but over all if you liked the first Bookdock Saints then you will like this one...
They even brought back the whole cast from the first movie...

I just saw The Box, and I really liked it. It sort of felt like a long, creepy episode of the Twilight Zone. It was very well done, and very thought provoking. I would highly recommend this movie. It's by the same director as Donnie Darko, and you can definitely tell, I really enjoyed it.

I just got done watching a couple of movies with one-word titles: Moon and Ink. Both turned out to be a couple of my favorite movies, perhaps because they were so expressive in their intents and weren't pushing stale ideas or selling hype.

Moon wasn't the campy over-hyped scifi action flick I was expecting it to be. It was definitely science fiction, but it's more thought-provoking than most things called scifi anymore. I can't really say anything about it without spoiling it. It was intense, tasteful, stylish, and captivating. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time, and definitely an instant classic in my book. It's not drawn out in an attempt to create "atmosphere", either. Pure storytelling at its best.

Ink was more philosophy than anything else. It's an indie film, shot for about $250,000, and for the money they made an amazing film. It has fantasy elements, but also a genre all its own. The team working on this pulled as many stops as they could, and the characters are pretty believable.
This is something you could sit down and watch with kids, and also enjoy it as a mature adult. It's got some great action, powerful story (I was freakin' crying my eyes out by the end), and it's dripping with style.
I think the best way to describe the film is that it is about darkness.
